tried to rescue crumbs from the maple syrup moat when no one ordered coffee I felt afloat at a meeting with no reason
Three turtles….three user experience ninjas…
Last Thursday three coworkers and I participated in a 24-hour Hack-and-Mash-Athon held by the company I’m currently contracting with. Primarily an event for developers to code something adding value to product or internal processes, we thought it would still be a good opportunity for a design-athon and for educating people in the company about interaction and user experience design processes. And it being the last work days before Halloween, there was a perfect excuse to do it all in costume.
Mid-October we got together to discuss the costumes: teenage mutant ninja turtles and the design challenge: a mobile app for a pizza shop.
In the 24 hours we interviewed people out and inside of a nearby pizza shop, brainstormed on the results of those discussions, built a paper prototype, tested it with 3 people in the office, and made a video out of it all.
I’ll let the video say the rest:
Oh and PS. we won the “entertainment” category and I renewed my love for Adobe Premiere. Want to make more videos…maybe I should go back to grad school.
