I think I might have mentioned this to you before, but while I was still in school, I found I did all my best thinking in the shower. I’m not sure why, but whenever I had to deal with buggy code or needed to figure out an algorithm or something, and I’d been sitting at my computer getting nowhere for several hours, I’d hop in the shower and — without fail — I’d always be hit with a stroke of brilliance.
I wonder why that is?

I remember us having a discussion about that. I think that when you are in the shower your mind and heart are both at their purest (or as pure as we are capable of hehe :P). You’re not bogged down by confusions, garbage, expectations and the like. You can find the answer to that problem, you can make your schedule for the day, you can have that conversation with that someone that you’ve been meaning to talk to about something for a while.
I remember a long time ago I had this boyfriend (one I no longer talk to) and in the last months (yes, months) of our relationship I would think about breaking up with him every morning while I showered. It sucked because those thoughts preoccupied my shower time too much. So we broke up and that was a good decision. I told myself afterwards to always trust my shower intuition…or…shintuition.
