		<description>I used to use the word "appreciation" all the time to convey "(seeking) understanding" (eg "I appreciate what you're trying to say"; "I wish I was better at appreciating art") but then it kept being misunderstood as "being grateful for".  Which I suppose was also true in the cases I was using the word, but wasn't quite the point.  I wait with bated breath for whatever new word for that you come up with.</description>
