Today I was driving along the Bandai-Azuma Green Line and stopped at a shop at the foot of Mt Azuma-kofuji. There in a basket were some bamboo wrapped things that looked a lot like your photo of sasadango. I remembered your post and for 650 yen bought a string of eight.
